CERTAIN
All these darkest
days,
She was shining like a
Polaris
I’m not
certain, not very certain;
Said the voice that
viewed from space.
Like the steady sea,
She chose stillness as
part
I’m not
certain, not very certain;
Said the ears that
never heard.
And for her, life
goes on & on
I’m not
certain, not very certain;
Said the mind that
never accompanied.
Oh, Sky! Little did
they know,
Burn, burn, burn, she’s so burnt;
It’s only to
the shores she says,
How she falls every
time she rises
Like these never-ending
waves.
And only those dry
sand
Comes a little far to
see
The way she pulls
herself back towards the sea!
It is so certain, very
certain;
Oh it’s pain,
though the leaves turned purple
Still, its own roots,
believe they’re green, evergreen!
Maybe yes, the life
around went on
But only those hearts
stuck with glue,
Can understand all her
blues.
And what remained
unsaid was,
“For her,
only the mighty sun can answer
Whether the life in
her,
Is lost- to be
searched for?
Or had stopped, to
make it move.
Whether it is hidden-
to wait for?
Or is it just what it
is?
Certain, At least is
this certain?”
